Appointed as a Supreme Court Judge on the September 15, 2022, Bahar Duatepe was born in Limassol on March 26, 1969. She graduated from Famagusta Namık Kemal High School. She graduated from Marmara University in 1991 and started practicing as a lawyer on March 18, 1993. She was appointed as a District Court Judge on May 17, 1999, as a Senior District Court Judge on Janurary 4, 2007, and as President of the District Court on November 1, 2011. Within this period, she served in District Court of Nicosia, the Assize Court, District Court of Famagusta, the Assize Court of Nicosia and Kyrenia and finally at the District Court of Famagusta. She has two children and she knows English as a foreign language.
